Part of the reason I'm blogging about my farm is to raise money to support it. I'm trying to use as many recycled, found, traded and donated materials as possible, but some things just need to be bought new. For example, I used quite a bit of found and donated old soil for the 15 containers of vegetables in my garden, but I purchased new nutrient-rich soil to mix with it so I wasn't compromising quality.
My plans for the near future include purchasing a chicken run and chickens, a rabbit hutch and rabbits, and a beekeeping set up. All of these things will cost some serious monies! If you'd like to help contribute to my experiment of self-sufficient farm living in the city, I would be humbled and grateful.
